ABOUT STUDIO STEM
Studio Stem is a contemporary floral design and creative studio based in Derby, UK.
We create flowers for everyday moments, weddings, events, brands and spaces — from seasonal bouquets and sculptural arrangements to immersive installations and our signature Bloom Bar.
Our approach is led by design. We explore colour, form, texture and composition to create florals that feel considered, expressive and a little unexpected.
But Studio Stem is about more than flowers.
With a background spanning creative direction, experience design and live events, we bring a wider creative perspective to every project — considering not only the flowers themselves, but the environment around them and the experience they create.
WHO WE ARE
Studio Stem was founded by Leah Lesser, a creative director and event designer with more than 16 years’ experience creating events, experiences and campaigns across publishing, luxury, fashion, beauty and consumer brands.
Before founding Studio Stem, Leah worked at Hearst Magazines, leading the creative direction of experiences and events for brands including ELLE, Harpers’ Bazaar, Cosmopolitan and Esquire.
Creativity and visual storytelling have always been central to Leah’s work. Studio Stem marks a new chapter in that practice — combining professional floristry training with a career spent developing concepts, designing environments and creating memorable experiences, Leah approaches floristry through the same creative lens: exploring shape, colour, texture, composition and space, as well as how the finished piece makes someone feel.
The result is a floral and creative studio with a distinctive point of view — considered, contemporary and led by design.

Rather than an endless catalogue, our flowers follow the seasons. Each collection is curated around the stems, colours and textures that inspire us at that moment.

WEDDINGS
No two weddings should look the same.
We create contemporary wedding florals developed around you, your venue and the atmosphere you want to create.
From bouquets and buttonholes to tablescapes, ceremony flowers and large-scale installations, we approach every wedding as an individual creative project.
EVENTS
Studio Stem creates florals for celebrations, dinners, launches, shoots, corporate events and brand experiences.
Our background in experience design means we think beyond individual arrangements — considering the space, guest journey, styling and overall creative concept.

THE BLOOM BAR
The Studio Stem Bloom Bar brings a beautifully curated selection of seasonal stems to your event, inviting guests to select flowers and create a bouquet of their own to take home.
Available for weddings, birthdays, baby showers, hen parties, corporate events, brand activations and private celebrations.
Choose a self-serve experience or have a Studio Stem florist host the Bloom Bar for you.
Every Bloom Bar is individually styled around your event, from the flowers and colour palette to personalised signage, wrapping and finishing touches.
CREATIVE STUDIO
Some ideas need more than flowers.
Studio Stem brings together floristry, creative direction, styling and experience design to develop original concepts for brands, events and spaces.
From campaign florals and photoshoot styling to installations, brand activations and creative collaborations, we can work from an existing brief or help shape an idea from its earliest stages.
Leah’s experience includes creative concept development, live experience design, visual storytelling, 2D/3D visualisation and developing commercially viable creative proposals from concept through execution.
